Style: Eisbock w/ Icewine Grapes
A traditional strong Eisbock made from moving beer outside in extreme cold conditions (-20 C) to naturally freeze.
Once the majority of water has formed into ice, the remaining unfrozen beer is pulled out, having been both concentrated in flavour and alcohol. An intense dark fruit malt character with warm mouthfeel comes to the forefront, however it is softened by the sweetness and flavour of the icewine skins. The tannins from the grape’s seeds, stems and skins also add an interesting component and structure to the beer.
